The league
Play 8-ball in a competitive and social environment.
The HOB Social league was created to meet regularly to play competitive, tournament-style 8-ball in a social, easy-going environment. We use BCA rules, though we're not an official BCA-sanctioned league. We keep score every week and track overall standings. The vibe is fun and social, but with real games for anyone committed to playing.

Arrive at 12; league games start at 12:30 and run until about 2:30–3 PM.

Season 1 runs June 7 through December 13. End-of-season party on December 20.
Commitment
Drop in — no subs
No week-to-week commitment. Come when you can; if you can't make it, there's no need to find a sub or let anyone know.
Cost to join
$50 per season
Solely to solidify commitment. The pooled money goes to winners and/or an end-of-season party.
Weekly cost
About $10–$15 / visit
We split league table time evenly, so it averages roughly $10–$15 each time you come. This may evolve as the league grows.
Weekly format
The aim is fun, competitive, and flexible, with a core of committed players. Each week you will play 5 single games against different opponents (no races). Your individual standings are tracked throughout the season. Your opponents will be set randomly based on who shows up that week.

Scoring & standings
Every match is tracked right here. Standings are individual and ranked by win percentage — but you need to play at least five weeks to make the ranked board. Until then you'll show up in a “not yet qualified” list, so nobody tops the table on a single lucky night.
